Did you all have any success stories from this project? Also how did you all evaluate the effectiveness?
Lisa Erck [she/her], NACDD

Robin/Liz - What strategies did you find most successful in building trust with participants?
Heather Murphy (she/her), NACDD
50:24
The National Council on Aging (NCOA) developed a “Resource Guide: Remote Delivery of Evidence-based Programs” which contains information, tools and resources that might be helpful to state arthritis programs and their partners. https://www.ncoa.org/article/resource-guide-remote-delivery-of-evidence-based-programs
Robin Brothers & Liz Hall - Fort Payne
51:27
The most successful strategy was one on one phone calls to check in with participants. The staff enjoyed talking with the participants and the participants really enjoyed the phone calls
Robin Brothers & Liz Hall - Fort Payne
53:52
We had several success stories. Several of our participants said they were more mobile and more confident with their ability to walk after the program. We had several that were sedentary prior to the program.
Tiff Cunin [they/them], NRPA
54:15
Great question, Shanetta. We actually do a few different success stories including the one I shared earlier about bridging the digital divide and address social isolation. Our pilot was focused more on the implementation of the remote delivery AAEBIs vs overall effectiveness. The sample was rather small but we are hopeful to engage in effectiveness studies with continued support from CDC in our current project.
Tiff Cunin [they/them], NRPA
55:03
Please stay connected, Shanetta, and we can share more specific findings with you (or anyone)!

We had many success stories from this project. One particular was the participant that had to move away from the area. She had completed the in personal and loved it so much that she wanted to do the class again. Since she moved she never found ways to exercise. So this class helped her start exercising again. She also bought a house with stairs and the exercises helped her get strong to climb up and down those stairs.

Another success story: In our Oregon sites, a participant completed WWE and went from having a difficult time just getting out of a chair to..... becoming an WWE Instructor!!

Great point Amy M! Several EBPs like Chronic Pain Self Management Workshops and PEARLS are being offered remotely via phone bc of lack of connectivity + participant comfort level to meet both older adults and EBP leaders where they are
