NACDD’s National Walkability Project and How to Get Involved
This General Member Webinar will feature NACDD’s Walkability Action Institute project and several state expert visionaries who were instrumental in bringing this fun and experiential project to communities within their states. Join Project Lead, Karma Harris, MSPH, and state physical activity leaders from New York (Dan French, MS), Arkansas (Leesa Feasier, MEd, CTRS), Utah (Brett McIff, PhD, PAPHS), and Washington (Chris Zipperer), who will enthusiastically share their experiences with the project through a moderated panel discussion. If you are pursuing efforts in built environment, physical activity access and opportunity, and/or active transportation, this is a session you won’t want to miss!

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
Describe NACDD’s Walkability Action Institute (WAI) project.
Explain how participation in this project might accelerate policy, systems, and environmental approaches for increasing physical activity within states, regions, and communities.
Review how to become involved in NACDD’s nationwide WAI and be part of the CDC’s WAI scale-up effort.
